Intensive outpatient alcohol treatment (HDTP) is a form of addiction treatment. It falls between residential care and traditional outpatient care.
HDTP provides a structured and intensive approach to treating alcohol use disorder. But, it takes place on an outpatient basis. This allows you to maintain your daily life and responsibilities while in treatment.1
CBT helps patients recognize and change unhelpful thought patterns that may contribute to addiction. CBT has been effective in treating a wide range of substance use disorders. It enables individuals to develop coping strategies and reduce relapse risk.5
