At South Shore Recovery Center, we recognize that the path to mental health recovery is unique for everyone. Our day treatment program (DTP) offers a comprehensive and supportive approach to help individuals navigate their recovery journey.
Beginning your mental health recovery can be daunting, but our day treatment program at South Shore Recovery Center offers a comprehensive and supportive approach. Our program bridges the gap between inpatient care and traditional outpatient therapy, providing intensive treatment while allowing patients to return home each evening. DTP is designed to offer structured therapeutic activities that address both immediate symptoms and underlying issues, promoting long-term recovery and well-being.
By combining the intensity of inpatient care with the flexibility of outpatient therapy, our DTP ensures a seamless blend that allows patients to engage in structured daily activities, receive continuous therapeutic support, and integrate their recovery efforts into their daily lives. With around 30 hours of clinical services each week, including psychiatric and medical oversight, we ensure that medication management and ongoing evaluation are part of your treatment plan.
Understanding that each recovery journey is different, we develop individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments. Our counselors address your personal challenges, strengths, and goals to create a plan that fits your unique needs.
We honor diversity through personalized treatment plans. Whether addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, or other mental health challenges, our diverse array of therapies ensures that each patient receives the care they need.
Our DTP integrates therapy with daily life, helping patients apply their newly acquired skills in real-world situations. This practical integration is crucial for building resilience and adapting to challenges. These components work together to support the development of healthy coping mechanisms and emotional regulation.
One of the key benefits of our DTP is the opportunity to build a supportive community. This sense of community fosters emotional healing, camaraderie, and the creation of lasting bonds that provide continued support beyond the program.
Patients will:
Our DTP starts with a thorough assessment process to understand each patient’s journey from their mental health history to their symptoms, challenges, as well as strengths, and goals. This evaluation helps us determine the appropriate level of care and develop a personalized treatment plan.
We believe in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms. Our holistic approach includes therapies that promote emotional, physical, and mental well-being. Patients benefit from mindfulness practices, art therapy, experiential therapy, and more, all designed to enhance overall health and recovery.
Here, we provide the best of both worlds by combining the stability of inpatient care with the flexibility of outpatient therapy. Patients receive intensive therapeutic engagement during the day and return home each evening, allowing them to apply the new skills they’ve learned to their lives while in a familiar and comforting environment.
Our program provides support and medical oversight, including access to psychiatric and medical professionals who conduct regular check-ups and assessments, ensuring health and safety.
One-on-one counseling sessions offer a safe space for patients to explore personal challenges, set goals, and develop coping strategies. This level of attention is vital for addressing specific needs and promoting personal growth.
The group therapy sessions provide a supportive environment where patients can connect with peers, share experiences, and become part of a community.
Our psychoeducation sessions help patients understand their mental health conditions, manage symptoms, and make informed decisions. This knowledge empowers patients to take an active role in their recovery.
Workshops focus on stress management, communication skills, emotional regulation, and problem-solving techniques. These skills are essential for navigating daily challenges and maintaining long-term recovery.
Our holistic therapies, including mindfulness, art therapy, and experiential therapy, promote emotional resilience, self-awareness, and a mind-body connection. These practices support overall well-being and complement traditional treatment techniques.
Our DTP is ideal for individuals with moderate to severe mental health symptoms, those transitioning from inpatient care, or those who need more intensive support than traditional outpatient therapy can provide. It is particularly beneficial for those with co-occurring disorders or complex mental health concerns.
Our DTP promotes long-term recovery by providing continuous therapeutic engagement, practical skill application, and a supportive community. Patients develop healthy coping mechanisms, emotional regulation skills, and resilience, which are essential for sustaining progress and preventing relapse.
